can be limited to incest, it can be exclusive, where the person is only attracted to children, it can be nonexclusive, where there is an attraction to both children and adults, it can be specific, the person (in most cases males) is sexually attracted to males only, females only, or attracted to both.

• recurrent, intense, sexually arousing fantasies
• sexual urges, behaviours, involving sexual activity
• with a prepubescent child or children
• generally 13 years or younger
• where the person has acted on these sexual urges
• or the sexual urges or fantasies cause marked distress or interpersonal difficulty
